Established in 2001, the United Nations (UN) Environment Management Group (EMG) is a UN system coordination body on environment and human settlements.
The Group's membership includes more than 50 UN entities, consisting of specialized agencies, programmes, and organs, as well as the secretariats of Multilateral Environmental Agreements, to strengthen cooperation on issues that cut across institutional boundaries.
The EMG helps UN entities work together more effectively by providing a platform for dialogue, joint analysis and solutions development.
